1. CONTEST PERIOD
The “Social A Chance to Win 100,000 PC Optimum™ Points” contest (the “Contest”) begins on December 18th, 2025, at 12:01 AM ET and closes December 31st, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET (the “Contest Period”). By participating in this Contest, you agree that you have read and understand these Official Rules (the “Rules”), you meet the Contest eligibility requirements, you agree to be legally bound by the Rules, and that you agree to comply with, and abide by, the Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor (defined below) whose decisions shall be final.
2. SPONSOR
This Contest is sponsored and administered by Loblaws Inc. (“the Sponsor”).
3. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the legal age of majority in their province/territory of residence at the time of entry. Employees, representatives or agents of The Sponsor, Loblaw Companies Limited, and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, franchisees and advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Contest Parties”) and their family members (a “family member” is defined as a parent, spouse/partner, sibling or child) or those with whom they are domiciled are not eligible to enter the Contest.
IMPORTANT: To be eligible, you must also be a PC Optimum™ loyalty program member in good standing at the time winner is confirmed and Prize awarded. Becoming a PC Optimum™ program member is free. 4. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY to enter or win. To be eligible to automatically receive one (1) entry, you must complete each of the below steps:
Ensure you have a valid Instagram account (an “Account”). If you do not have an Account, you can create one for free from the Instagram app or on Instagram.com by following the instructions.
“Follow” The Mobile Shop™ (@TheMobileShop) on Instagram during the contest period.
“Like” the A Chance to win 100,000 PC Optimum™ points contest post on The Mobile Shop™ Instagram account (the “Contest Post”).
“Comment” on the A Chance to win 100,000 PC Optimum™ points contest post on The Mobile Shop™ Instagram account with tagging up to three others.
Additionally, to be eligible to automatically receive one additional entry, you can re-share A Chance to win 100,000 PC Optimum™ points contest post on The Mobile Shop™ Instagram account to your Instagram story.
Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any claims against infringement with respect to any Entry submitted. By entering this Contest each entrant: (i) represents that the said Entry does not infringe on any third party’s copyright materials, trade-mark or other intellectual property rights; (ii) agrees to release, indemnify, discharge and hold harmless the Releasees (as defined herein) from any claim or liability arising from or related to submission of the Entry and participation in this Contest; (iii) grants the Sponsor, an unlimited, royalty free, irrevocable, right and license to edit, modify reproduce, post and/or broadcast the Entry in any form of media now known or hereinafter developed, including, without limitation, as contemplated within these Rules, and in any advertising or promotions created by the Sponsor in any form of media to promote this Contest and/or future contests similar to this Contest; and (iv) waives all moral rights in the Entry in favour of the Sponsor.
Use of any automated system to submit Entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification. All Entries are subject to verification. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility in a form acceptable to the Sponsor, including, without limitation, government-issued photo identification to award this Contest. Failure to provide such proof in a timely manner may result in disqualification. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of an Entry in this Contest will be the contest server machine’s record of time.
BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOUR ENTRY (INCLUDING YOUR USERNAME AND PROFILE PICTURE) MAY BE POSTED ON THE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM USED AND/OR SPONSOR’S PROPRIETARY WEBSITE, WHERE IT MAY BE VIEWED, SHARED BY USERS OF SOCIAL MEDIA OR OTHER INTERNET-BASED SITES) AND COMMENTED ON BY THE SPONSOR AND/OR THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
NOTE: Data fees may apply depending on the entrant’s mobile device carrier and data package. Such fees are the responsibility of the entrant/account holder. Data service may not be available in all areas or with all mobile service providers. Entrant must be the person in whose name the mobile device account for the mobile device used to enter the Contest via mobile device is registered (the “Mobile Account Holder”) or have the express permission of the Mobile Account Holder. Entries made via mobile device without the permission of the Mobile Account Holder may be disqualified.
To be eligible, an entry must be submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Contest Period (the “Entry”). Once your Entry is complete, you will receive one (1) Entry into the Contest.
There is a limit of two (2) Entries per PC Optimum™ account number during the Contest Period, regardless of method of entry used. Selecting one entry option over another does not increase the odds of winning. If you exceed the daily limit, as determined by Sponsor, your Entry will be void.
5. PRIZES
There is one (1) prize (a “Prize”) available to be won in relation to this Contest, as follows:
a) One Prize of 100,000 PC Optimum™ Points (that’s like $100 CDN in value when redeemed).
All PC Optimum™ points prizes may be redeemed in accordance with The PC Optimum™ Program Terms & Conditions. See https://www.pcoptimum.ca/company-policy/terms-and-conditions for full details.
The Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). The PC Optimum™ points will be awarded to the confirmed Prize winner’s PC Optimum™ member account [within 10-15 days/weeks of being confirmed the winner]. No substitutions except at Sponsor’s option. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute any Prize with a prize of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, but at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, a cash award. The characteristics and features of each Prize, except as explicitly stated above, are at the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion.
6. ODDS OF WINNING
The chances of being selected as a potential winner of a Prize depends on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
7. WINNER SELECTION
On January 8th, 2026, in Toronto, Ontario at approximately 11:00AM ET, a random draw will be held for the Prize from among all eligible Entries submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Contest Period.
The Sponsor or its designated representative will make a minimum of three (3) attempts to contact each potential winner (using the information available to the Sponsor) within ten (10) business days of selection as a potential winner. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within ten (10) business days of the Sponsor’s first attempted contact, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable and/or if any correspondence is not responded to; then they may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the applicable Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to select an alternate potential winner in accordance with the applicable procedures as outlined in these Rules (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section will apply to such newly selected potential winner). No communication or correspondence will be exchanged with entrants except for those selected for a prize.
In order to be declared a confirmed prize winner, each selected Potential Winner will be required to: (a) correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance or mechanical or electronic aid (which may be administered online, by email or other electronic means, by telephone, or in the Sponsor’s form of declaration and release); and, where applicable, (b) sign and return, in form satisfactory to Sponsor, the Sponsor’s declaration and release form, confirming (among other things) their: (i) compliance with these Rules; (ii) acceptance of the applicable Prize; (iii) release of the Contest Parties (the “Releasees”) from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, their participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the applicable Prize or any portion thereof; and (iv) agreement to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of their name, address, voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in any manner or medium whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet.
If a potential winner: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; (b) fails to properly execute and return any required Contest documents within the specified time; (c) cannot accept (or is unwilling to accept) the Prize, as awarded, for any reason; (d) if phone, email or other communication between a Potential Winner and Sponsor is not responded to or is returned as undeliverable; and/or (e) is determined to be in violation of these Rules (all as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion); then they will be disqualified and will forfeit all rights to the applicable Prize, and the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to select an alternate potential winner in accordance with the applicable procedures as outlined in these Rules (in which case, the foregoing provisions of this section will apply to such newly selected eligible winner). If the Prize is not claimed by February 1st, 2026, the Prize will not be awarded.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS
a) This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited by law. The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of entrants or Contest-related Information.
b) The Releasees will not be liable for: (i) any technical malfunction or other problems relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; (ii) the failure of any Contest-related Information to be received for any reason including, but not limited to, technical problems, mail service problems, traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; (iii) any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer or other device related to or resulting from participating or downloading any material in the Contest; and/or (v) any combination of the above.
c) This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with the Social Media Platform. You understand that you are providing your information to the Sponsor and not to the Social Media Platform and that the Social Media Platform is released from all liability in connection with this Contest. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to the Sponsor and not to the Social Media Platform.
d) The Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw, amend or suspend this Contest (or to amend these Rules) in any way, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Rules. The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, amend or suspend this Contest, or to amend these Rules, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of any accident, printing, administrative, or other error of any kind, or for any other reason.
e) Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law including criminal prosecution. A participant engaging in any of the foregoing activities will be subject to disqualification and forfeiture of any prize won.
f) If due to printing, production, online, internet, computer or other error of any kind, more Prizes are claimed than intended to be awarded according to these Rules (at any prizing level), Sponsor reserves the right to conduct a random drawing from amongst all eligible Prize claimants whose claims have not yet been redeemed to award the correct number of Prizes at the applicable prizing level (as stated in these Rules). The Prizes may stop being awarded in the event Sponsor becomes aware of such an error. In no event will the Sponsor be liable to award more than the number of Prizes (at the applicable prizing level), as provided in these Rules.
g) The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, and without prior notice, to adjust any of the dates and/or timeframes stipulated in these Rules, to the extent necessary, for purposes of verifying compliance by any entrant or any Contest-related Information with these Rules, or as a result of technical problems, or in light of any other circumstances which, in the opinion of the Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, affect the proper administration of the Contest as contemplated in these Rules.
h) All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules or the rights and obligations of entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of the Province of Ontario without regard to Ontario conflict of law principles, and all entrants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the Province of Ontario.
i) The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Contest Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Contest Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. In particular, the Sponsor’s employees are not authorized to waive, modify or amend any provision or provisions of these Contest Rules in any manner whatsoever.
j) By entering this Contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her Contest Entry for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with the Loblaw Companies Limited Privacy Policy, https://www.loblaw.ca/en/privacy-policy. No commercial or other communications unrelated to the Contest will be sent to an entrant, unless such entrant has otherwise agreed to receive such communications.
k) In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these English Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including, but not limited to: the French version of these Rules, and/or point of sale, television, print or online advertising; the terms and conditions of these English Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
